Woolfe: The Red Hood Diaries

A twisted fable in a rich, fantasy setting of smoke-spewing factories and evil forests, Woolfe: The Red Hood Diaries is an action-platforming fairy tale of death, industrial greed and vengeance. Coming to PC in 2015.

The story of Little Red Riding Hood traditionally covers the path between her parental home to Grandma’s house in the woods. Set in an era of industrial change, Woolfe’s universe features quite a few additional hotspots and environments. Chronologically, you’ll navigate through:

  • The City: Red begins her vendetta in the city, where she hides in a dusty attic room. From this operating base she starts looking for answers in every corner of the city: from the residential area, through slums and sewers, towards the harbor.
  • The Forest: In the forest -where Red grew up in Granny’s treehouse- evil gradually grew over happy memories and picturesque sceneries. The woods are now dominated by carnivorous plants, scary fairies and other freaks of nature. In the Thorn Valley, even Sleeping Beauty succumbed to the dark side.
  • The Mines: The deeper underground she travels, the dirtier the secrets our heroine digs up. Descending into Woolfe Industries’ vast network of mines, Red Riding Hood is confronted with quite a few shocking revelations… and evil dwarves, of course.
  • The Factory: The factory once employed hundreds of citizens, until machinery and mechanical manpower took over. This absence of people turned out to be pretty convenient when Red’s father Joseph, Woolfe’s lead engineer, was killed in an ‘accident’ here. Will Red survive this hostile environment?

Woolfe: The Red Hood Diaries has crossed the halfway point of its Kickstarter campaign in less than a week, announcing future DRM-free availability through GOG, a second game key for only $9, and the enlistment of over 1,000 player-created toy soldiers.

The toy soldiers of Woolfe’s army are far from being mindless automatons. These in-game adversaries will be crafted exclusively by Kickstarter backers with customizable stats, character types, and color-schemes. Soldiers also receive points towards upgrades for every battle they win against Red, meaning the game gradually gets harder – for everyone.
