Sarah French ~ A Girl to Die For

I love horror movies and low budget horror is my mainstay. As such I have built a collection of several thousand movies, most of which are obscure or unknown to the general public. It is within these films that I discovered Sarah French. If you haven’t heard of Sarah French, then you have missed out on one of the most desirable actresses in horror. Sarah has infused herself in the horror industry appearing in greats such as Strip Club Slasher, Bitch That Cried Wolf, Killer Biker Chicks, and Zombie Pirates. Her style of acting is one that always leaves you wanting more. Even when she appears in films that are quite honestly hard to watch, Sarah keeps me watching. As I make the rounds looking through my B Movie collection, I discovered Sarah in more than a dozen films that I personally owned. She is beautiful, intelligent, and easily underestimated by her critics. Speaking with Sarah about her career was both interesting and enlightening. Check out her films and see for yourself.
You have made the rounds in the horror industry where I discovered you in the film Strip Club Slasher. What makes a great horror film?
Thank you, I love horror! A great horror flick starts with the script. The story has to be solid and has to hold up. Not naming names, but I’ve done my fair share of shitty flicks, haha. Do I regret them, no. But now days, I make sure its a good script to start with, before I even think about doing it.
You have also built a cult following as sex symbol. How has this affected you outside of the big screen?
I don’t think it has. I’m still the same ol horror and metal music loving girl. If anything, its given me more confidence. When I was younger, I was very shy. It wasn’t till I got into acting, I basically blossomed. Acting has given me the confidence I’ve always needed.
I heard that you did a super hero film, can you tell me about it?
Ah yes!  The films called, “American Rescue Squad”, and I got to play Detective Dash. Sadly I only have a cameo appearance, but I had a blast! I basically get to interrogate one of the main stars. If you get a chance, check it out. Its well done and hilarious!
Can you tell us about your best performance to date?
As of right now, I’d have to say “Zombie Pirates”, which is on Amazon. I play the lead in it. There’s a curse and I get to battle zombie pirates, with a detective on my case. Its a fun movie and you get to see me through out the whole thing, which is great!

Quick list of favorites: Book? Movie? Band? Television Show?
Book: Grave Mistake, By Joe Knetter
Movie: John Carpenters Halloween
Band: Killswitch Engage
TV Show: Tales from the Crypt
If you could work with any one person, who would it be?
I’d love to work with Kurt Russel!!! He’s def my #1 choice! I mean come on, he’s been in so many amazing movies, most of my favorites!!! Plus, he gets better looking with age, hehe!!
Any upcoming projects you want to tell us about?
Lets see, a few of my films came out recently on Amazon and streaming: Insectula! and Lazarus: Day of the Living Dead. Also, I was just in Twiztid’s newest music video, Boogyman, which also stars horror icons Reggie Bannister and Tyler Mane, directed by Roy Knyrim. Plus finished up another music video for The Kyle Gass band, which should be coming out soon. I just got signed onto a suspense/horror called, “You Found Me”, which is being directed by Lawrence Nelson. I’m super stoked about that one! We’ll be filming it in North Carolina in a few weeks!
