Red Bull Air Race get 1 million download in first weekend
Red Bull Air Race has soared into the top 10 of the download charts for all games in over 100 countries. The game passed 1 million downloads over its first weekend, and has now raced passed the 3 million-download mark on its second weekend. The fast-paced arcade racing game brings the world’s fastest motor sport series – the Red Bull Air Race World Championship – to smartphones and tablets.
Executive Producer of Red Bull Air Race – The Game and Roadhouse’s Chief Creative Officer, Ian Verchere, commented, “Red Bull Air Race is the fastest motorsport series on earth, so our goal was to make the fastest and most exciting flying game on mobile. We’re off to a great start with over 3 million downloads, but we’re looking ahead to updates, 24/7 tournaments, and even planning for the 2015 season! It’s just the beginning for our players, and we look forward to keeping them challenged and engaged for a long time!”
This fast-paced racing game starts you right in the cockpit, and teaches the basics in 2 exhibition races. An invitation to a secret training camp follows, where players prepare for the racing season and familiarize themselves with the control and rules of the Red Bull Air Race. Campaign mode gets players quickly in pursuit of the 2014 Red Bull Air Race World Championship, traveling to the eight actual 2014 venues, on three continents around the world. All the courses in the game are modeled closely on the originals. As players gain experience, win trophies and earn prize money, new planes and venues are gradually unlocked. The six different aerobatic race planes used in the actual Red Bull Air Race are carefully modeled in the game, and each has its own unique flight characteristics. Players can also upgrade, maintain and customize their planes with paint and graphics.
In Campaign Mode, players will be challenged by the 12 Super License pilots of the 2014 Red Bull Air Race World Championship, as well as the pilots of the exciting Challenger Class. In the exciting Tournament Mode, players can train and take on other players from all over the world. Players progress through the same format as the actual Red Bull Air Race – qualification, Top 12, Super 8 and Final 4. Tournaments are 24/7, and are starting all the time.
Red Bull Air Race – The Game is available now for free download with in-app purchases on the App Store and Google Play in German, English, Italian, Spanish, French, Brazilian Portuguese, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, and Russian.
