Krystal’s Cosplayer Of the week
The Cosplayer of the week is Lynn !
Lynn is from Pennsylvania USA. She started modeling about five years ago. Lynn is a photographer, model, hair stylist, makeup artist and a side-show performer. She eats and breathes FIRE! Here is my interview with this very interesting young lady.
So Lynn let’s start off with what inspired you to start Cosplay?
“As a model I always enjoyed when I would get to play different characters. Getting into cosplay just kind of came naturally.”
What was the first ever cosplay you did?
“My first big Cosplay was Velma Dinkley, from Scooby Doo. It was suggested as a character that would suit me. I loved the experience and it really just took off from there.”
What do you Find a Challenge with Cosplay?
“Well I think my biggest challenge is the Cost. When you really want to be authentic and get the character as close to the real thing as possible it can be very pricey.”
What do you enjoy most about Cosplay?
“When little Kids see me and recognize the character I am that day their little faces light up and the are just so happy, and have huge smiles!”
Have you met any lasting friends because of cosplay?
“Oh Yes! Definitely, Its one of the most awesome parts of the whole thing!”
Do you plan to continue on cosplaying for years to come?
“I absolutely do! I really love it,Finding new characters and people to portray is just the best and seeing them come to life is just amazing.”
What one or two characters that you want to try but have not yet?
“I am dying to do Wilma Flintstone and Cheetara.”
If you had to choose only one costume to wear for the rest of your life who would you be?
“hmmmmmmm, well that’s a hard one but if I had to choose it would probably be Black Cat. I love the suit!”
What is your favorite convention to attend? (Comicon, FanExpo, AnimeNorth, ect…)
“So far I have only gone to small local cons, but I would love to go to NYC and Philly Wizard World.”
Would you recommend being a cosplayer to your friends?
“YES!! I would love to have more people to go places with and cosplay. It’s something I really enjoy and I love to see the smiles on people’s faces when they see what I’ve created. So ya, more friends to join in on that action would be amazing!”
Do you have any tips tricks or advice to share with fellow cosplayers?
“Yes, always put a piece of yourself into each costume.”
Well thank you Lynn for letting us get to know you a little better. Your Pictures are amazing and we can all see that you put a lot of hard work into your Costumes. I hope to see more from you and we will keep up with your work to com.
